Truck Drivers - Water Truck / Spreader (Starting Spring 2013)
Location: Edmonton and Area
Skills and Qualifications: Experience hauling equipment, Gravel and Asphalt
Class 3 license
Job summary:
Operate a Tandem Axle/Gravel truck to transport and deliver materials or equipment. May be required to load and unload truck. Majority of time is spent in the cab of the truck while driving.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Class 3 driver’s license required. 2 years related experience preferred, Must be able to operate a tractor/trailer unit in city traffic. Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and loaded, ensuring safety and road worthiness. Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety. Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order. Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork.
